Reclaim the Night March
November 25 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Join Restore in a march round the town to promote making the streets a safer place for women and girls.
The Reclaim the Night movement began in the UK in 1977, when women in Leeds marched against police advice telling them to stay home during the Yorkshire Ripper murders. They demanded the right to walk freely and safely at night — and that message still matters today.
By walking together, we’re standing up against harassment, violence, and victim-blaming. We’re showing solidarity and reclaiming public spaces for everyone.
We have the right to feel safe.
We have the right to walk freely — day or night.
Meet at The Malthouse, outside the Steam House Cafe
