Supporting Survivors
Restoring Lives

Restore Women’s Aid Centre (the Refuge) was established in 1974 to provide safety and support for women and children experiencing Domestic Abuse.

Since then we have grown to provide outreach services, support for male survivors and to work with children and young people living in the community.

About Domestic Abuse

Domestic abuse refers to a range of behaviours by a partner, family member or carer. It can include emotional, physical, psychological, sexual and economic abuse.

RESTORE WA formerly Bury St Edmunds Women's Aid Centre

Supporting Mid and West Suffolk

We offer a range of services based in the community to anyone living in Mid or West Suffolk to provide support for those affected by Domestic abuse. This can range from a one off conversation via our helpline to a programme of individual or group support.

We’ve been incredibly fortunate over the last few weeks with donations, particularly of the financial variety. Lots of these donations have been anonymous, so we’d just like to say a BIG thank you to all of you! Every single penny will make a difference to the families that we help, both in refuge and within the community. THANK YOU!
